Pacta Privacy Policy
Effective: 27 July 2026
The short version
Pacta collects no data. Everything you put into Pacta stays on your device. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party data sharing of any kind.
What the app stores — on your device only
- Evidence you import (screenshots or shared text): encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key generated inside your device's Android Keystore. The key never leaves your device's secure hardware.
- Pacts and their history (details you confirmed, deadlines, reminders, outcomes): stored in the app's private local database.
- Your settings (theme, reminder times): stored in the app's private local preferences.
What never happens
- No data is transmitted off your device. Pacta makes no network calls.
- Text recognition (OCR) runs entirely on-device using a bundled model.
- No analytics, tracking, profiling, or advertising SDKs are included.
- Your data is excluded from Android cloud backups and device transfers.
Permissions
Pacta requests a single permission — notifications — to remind you before deadlines and renewals. Images are accessed only through the Android photo picker or share sheet, which grant access solely to the items you choose.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual pieces of evidence, or everything at once via Settings → Delete all local data. Uninstalling the app also removes all data, permanently — there is no copy anywhere else.
Children
Pacta is intended for adults managing their own purchases and subscriptions and is not directed at children under 18.
Changes
If a future version of Pacta ever changes these practices (for example, an optional sync feature), this policy will be updated first and the change will be clearly announced in the app before anything leaves your device.
